Chapter 02 · Players
Eight elite minds, eight different signatures. The cohort is a baseline; what makes each player interesting is where they diverge from it. Cards below show each player's cognitive signature: the codes that fire louder than the average elite Valorant player's, sized by their z-score against the cohort.

A note on these signatures
The differences shown here are emergent , drawn from raw descriptives and per-code frequencies against the cohort mean, with no inferential testing applied. With n = 8 , what looks like a distinctive cognitive style could just as easily be an artifact of a given player's match (the map they drew, their performance, their teammates that round, the agent they ran). A defensible typology would need a much larger sample, repeated sessions per participant, and targeted inferential structure (cluster validation, between-session reliability) before any of these labels could be treated as a stable trait.
The follow-up novice cohort is the next step in that direction (we have 8 currently being analysed). If you'd like to contribute, register interest in the next study →
